Hello My Dear Friends!

Today I was honored by Scrapbook News & Review's Card Universe by being chosen as this week's Featured Blogger!!!!
There are no words to describe how excited I am!!! When Cheryl gave me the good news earlier today, I scooped up my beloved Clementine (my cat) and we did the Happy Dance all over my craft room! (She is used to my sudden outbursts of strange behavior!)

I have been planning to give out some blog candy for quite some!!! I want to let all of you, my wonderful friends & followers, know how much I appreciate all of your support! Your kind words mean so very much to me!

So without further ado...

I am offering this candy which consists of the goodies in the picture, plus a few more sheets of Christmas 12X12 paper, some Prima flowers, more brads, another stamp set, some Maya Road flowers...and a couple more surprises ( I kept adding things after I took the picture :) hehe!) PLUS this $10.00 Gift Certificate to Digital Delights!

Here's all you do:

1. Please become a Follower if you aren't already!

2.
Add your name to Mr. Linky below. (Please only one entry per person)

3.
OPTIONAL: if you want to help pass the word along by posting the pic and/or saying a few words about the candy on your blog, that would be great!

I will use Random.Org on Thanksgiving Day (U.S.) to pick the winner...So Please put your name in before Noon EST on 11/26/09. I want to be able to get the winner's goodies in the mail on Friday!!! Of course the gift certificate will be available for immediate redemption!

This is open to all my Freinds living on the planet Earth...In other words I will ship anywhere...unless you live off-planet, in which case, I'll personally deliver it to you! :)

Thank you all so much for stopping by and sharing my excitement! But mostly, thank you for being such wonderful friends! Good Luck to each and every one of you!

Upsetting the Apple Cart

Good Saturday Morning To You!!!

Today I have a Thanksgiving card, and I call it "Upsetting the Apple Cart" because I have a friend that is always saying, "I don't mean to upset the apple cart, but...". As you can imagine, she's quite opinionated...so it's sort of a joke that when she starts to speak we all say, "Are you gonna upset the apple cart again?" So here's this goofy turkey sitting in the middle of the apple cart...bet you can't guess who I thought of when I saw this image! LOL!!! Happy Turkey Day, Mary Anne!!!I was scoping out some challenges this morning, and thought I'd try to incorporate my card into these:

Color Throwdown #69: Chocolate, Cream & Dark Red (Olive is optional).

Caardvarks: Color your image.

Stamptacular Sunday #33: Turkey Time.

Stamp Something: Thanksgiving.

Hand Full Of Stamps: No Plain Jane ribbon.

Christ Child Freebie Friday

*edited to correct misspelling in title...Wasn't anyone gonna tell me it's Friday, not Firday? LOL!*

Good Friday Morning!

This week's FREEBIE from DIGITAL DELIGHTS is this beautiful set called "A Child is Born". I always adore all of Wendy's images, but I have to say this is definitely one of my faves. I didn't add any ribbon, DP, or embellishments because I thought the image alone looked beautiful.

I did do some layering for dimension. I tried to capture that in this pic. I also was attempting to follow Our Creative Corner's sketch this week(SASSC41), but with my own interpretation...Christ's manger instead of a house, the star instead of the wreath...you get the idea...

You can grab your Free A Child is Born this week right HERE at our SNR Digital Delights group or HERE at our Paper Craft Planet group.

Be sure to show us your creations by uploading them to either gallery and tagging them digitaldelights09. We love to see your work!

Also, don't forget about grabbing Nesbitt our Freebie for 200+ members in the SNR group. He'll only be free a short time longer.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday!

TMITA Monochromatic Challenge & Day 3 Sneak Peeks at Digital Delights

Good Morning Friends and Happy Wednesday!

The challenge this week at There's Magic in the Air was to use this image, Elegant Pumpkins and create a monochromatic card.
Well...I have to admit, I really struggled with this one! So I finally decided I would go with gold and vanilla. First I tried to use gold embossing powder while the ink was still wet from the printer, but that didn't work at all! I finally ended up using my Prismacolor pencils Bronze and Ginger Root to color the scene. I used a little bit of OMS, but not all over..I wanted to keep that "penciled" look.

Okay, so it's not the best thing that's ever came off of my desk, but once in a while we have to try new things, right?

A Couple of Cards and Digital Delights Sneak Peeks Day 2

Good Morning Friends!

Happy Tuesday!
I thought I would share these cards I made over the weekend and then below is my sneak peek for the upcoming new release at Digital Delights on Thursday!

This first card is House Mouse...I thought this image was so cute and pumpkin pie is my fave! The pumpkin on the side is a Quickutz die. The ribbon is actually dark chocolate even though it looks black. This was colored with Copics.
The next card is Alexander the Elf. I drew on some Elf ears just because I wanted to be different! Again, bad glitter photo, but it looks great IRL! The Holly leaves are Quickutz dies as well with Christmas Red and Diamond Stickles added. I also added a few polka dots to the present with a white gel pen.
And last, but not least, is this little CAS card (which CAS is very hard for me!) The image is from Dustin Pike and colored with Copics. The BG is a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the snow is Polar White Flower Soft.
and now on to the sneak peeks...
YAY!!!!!

My Weekend Pics

Memories Manor
St. Clair, Michigan
November 6-8, 2009

Here's just a couple of pics from this weekend. My camera was set on the wrong thing for most of the indoor shots, so they are blurry. Grrrr..

This is the outside of the manor. Built in 1880, the home has 10,000 square feet of living space.

This is my friend, Jane.
This is my friend, Cindy. We were in one of 3 large cropping parlors.

This is my bed...it was so comfy! Our room faced the St Clair River...gorgeous view! The room is very large. There are 2 other beds in the room plus a full bath.

Above are the three of us just before leaving. They sent us home with a little bag of homemade ccokies and a bottle of water. So thoughtful!

Thanks for having a look!

Now...Meet Pixie! by Kathy

A peek inside the Pixie Dust Studio sketch book….
Meet Pixie Pie and wink.
Pixie wants to share a little about herself….
She loves to play games.
She sings in the moonlight.
Her favorite flowers are Bluebells.
She dances to the sounds of chirping sparrows.
And she loves Cherries,Chocolate and Cupcakes.
Wink her Teddy, goes everywhere with her!
I look forward to sharing more about Pixie Pie and the world within the Pixie Dust Sketch book. Won’t you please join her on November 16th for her trip through some Christmas Confetti..you will meet new friends and the air will smell like yummy gingerbread!!

This is Wink...

I used a little Siren Smooch to color the heart on the charm! That stuff works like a charm! Be sure to give it time to dry though...I thought it was and mucked it up a little..but it was easily fixable!

A little close-up shot of Pixie and her favorite bear.

BTW...This Pixie card I made in mind for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge where the theme is flowers!

...and a little close -up of these poinsettias! I added Stickles to them (Christmas Red) and punched out some branches from my MS punch and stickled them with Diamond Stickles. The inner part of the flower is just some small gold beads I had stuck in my drawer. No doubt for some genius idea that I never followed through on!

An additional note: The Pixie Dust Studio New Releases are November the 16th! Be watching for a few sneaky peekies just before! You're gonna LOVE them!

And for all you Penguin Lovers... (okay seriously is there anybody that doesn't love penguins?)...
You must go see Kathy's latest CUTIE...Snowball!!! He's adorable! Find him HERE.

Digital Doodling Mojo

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I have 2 combined challenges for you. The first is an adorable image from Wendy at Digital Doodling. The challenge is to use the image below and create a project. You can still grab this FREE image HERE, but hurry because the challenge ends tomorrow!
This little cutie pie is called Cupcake Tilly.
I have also used this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

It's flipped and changed a little, but the basics are still there.

For the flowers on my card, I didn't have the right color so I used a cream colored Primas, colored them with my Copics, and added some Star Dust Stickles.

I have had several people ask me lately about the Bow Easy Tool. Here is a video By Jeri Jimenez (A Touch of Grace) that shows you how to use it. It does take a little practice at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's super easy. I bought mine at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design for $5.00.

Hope this helps!

Today at Digital Delights we have our Spolight Guest Designer: Jenny Laszlo!!! Whoohoo! Jenny is just uber talented! Please stop by and leave her some love! You can also visit her Blog: Playing is a Passion. Congrats Jenn for being our Guest Designer!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Don't forget to come back tomorrow for Digital Delights FREEBIE FRIDAY! Plus I have some super exciting news that I have been dying to share with you...and I finally can tomorrow!!! YAY! I'll see ya then!

Ready To Bake?

Good Morning Friends!

This is the card that I've made as an example for the SNR Digital Delights Cookie Exchange Challenge. For all the details and how to pick up this FREE IMAGE, see my post below this one! I also used the Color Recipe for this week's Pink Elephant Challenge.

In this close up view, you can see that I used some Liquid Pearls for icing. I applied it with a tooth pick and sort of just painted it on! This is White Opal that I've used here.

I also colored her with Copic Markers, cut her out, colored another bow for the top of her head and then used a glue dot to secure it. I think it adds a tad more dimension don't you? Then the whole image is popped up with foam squares.

I used my Bow Easy to make this double bow. If you don't have one of those yet...oh boy! They are a MUST HAVE if you can't tie a bow...like me :)

Here is the inside of the card. The Made with Love stamp is from the Hero Arts collection What's Cooking?

John Smith in Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

Good Evening Friends!

I'm running a tad behind tonight...my intention was to get this up long before now, but several more pressing duties jumped up in front of me!

This is John Smith from Pixie Dust Studios...isn't he cute? Kathy also has Pocahontas!
I used Sketch #46 at Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge

I also used
Michelle's Faux Brad technique. Go check out her tutorial...it's awesome! The only thing I did different was to add a little Crystal Lacquer to give them a bit more shine since my card stock is so dark.

I really appreciate you stopping by this evening. I have some really exciting news to share with you, but I can't post it until after midnight...but if you're still awake, or it's the middle of the day for my international friends..please stop back by! I'll give you a hint... you will get a FREE Digital Image to play with!

See you soon & have a wonderful night! Hugs,

Stuff I used to make this card:

SFYTT Pumpkin Emma

Good Afternoon Friends!

Happy Monday! This is little Pumpkin Emma from C.C. Designs. I just think she's adorable! I paired her up with the new Basic Grey Nook & Pantry collection. And I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try.
The little flowers that are stuck on the ribbon are those little satin flowers that you can get in the Wedding Dept. at Micheal's. They come in a bag? Well, I just took a couple of those and zapped 'em quick with my Copic airbrush and tah-dah! Matching Blush Blossom flowers (I used E00). Cool, eh?

Please scroll down after you've finished reading here and meet our newest Design Team member at Digital Delights. Her name is Faith and you guys are in for a treat because she is uber-talented!

New Releases at Clear Dollar Stamps!!!

The New Creations by Louby Loo Stamps are NOW Available HERE at Clear Dollar Stamps!!!

What I Love so much about this set called Just Chillin'is that it comes with a birthday sentiment!!!!

Here I've shown you the inside of the card...

The image on the front is colored using Stampin' Up! markers and reinkers along with a very tiny paintbrush and an aqua painter.

This next card I made using the Billy & Ma
ggie Carolers set...but I didn't use Billy or Maggie...I used their pets!

I like to send my parents a Chri
stmas card from the furry grand kids each year.
So this will be the one they receive from our kitty, Clementine, and o
ur dog, Jackson. (Clem & Jack for short).

One card was enough without my beloved Copics...so that's what I use
d here.

Last night was my DH's 45th Birthday! The weather was so crummy (cold and raining) that we just stayed home. We have plans to go out tomorrow night for dinner anyway so that will be FUN!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a GREAT Sunday!
